How are scheme and interchange fees set?

Scheme and interchange fees are driven by variables such as the card level (e.g. platinum / commercial), country of merchant, issuer, merchant segment, transaction type (online or card not present) and more.

The fees are set by the card schemes Visa and Mastercard and are regulated in some countries.

Acquirer fees are set by viva.com and determined by monthly card volume.

What is the percentage per sale transaction?

For a detailed overview for the commission of the acquiring fees, per type of sale transaction (Card Present, Card not Present, Over the Phone), please visit our pricing page here.
