According to the current legislation, Viva Wallet, like all financial institutions, is obliged to keep up-to-date data of its customers, in order to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

In this context, and wanting to confirm the validity and accuracy of any new or existing data, remote electronic identification/ data updating is required.

For Greek accounts only:

Remote electronic identification/ data updating is mandatory and is carried out by verifying the identity via a video call and uploading documents.

Also recently, Viva Payments integrated the customer’s identification and info updating, through gov.gr which is obligatory for new and existing customers who have already been verified in the past.
