Following the decision of the European Union Council on 12.07.2022. with regards to the conditions for EURO adoption as official national currency in the Republic of Croatia, viva.com would like to inform you about the process of converting your national currency from Kuna to Euro and which activities related to conversion will be implemented.
From January 1st, 2023, the Kuna (HRK) will be replaced by Euro (EUR) as Croatia's official currency and all HRK funds will be converted at a fixed exchange rate of 7.53450. That means from January 1, 2023. all cashless transactions in Croatia will be executed in Euro.
Thus, as of January 1, 2023, viva.com in compliance with its legal obligations shall, indicatively:
Convert account balances in Kuna (HRK) to Euro (EUR), free of charge and without altering the account number, by applying the statutory fixed conversion rate of 7.53450 HRK = 1.00000 EUR, as established on July 12, 2022 by the Council of the European Union, and in accordance with the applicable rules for recalculation and rounding as prescribed in Article 14 of the Law.
Convert prices of its products, services and fees based on the above fixed conversion rate and in accordance with the applicable rules for recalculation and rounding.
Shall not carry out payment transactions in Kuna (HRK).
Execute in Euro (EUR) payment orders in Kuna (HRK), received before the date of introduction of Euro and scheduled to be executed after January 1, 2023, in the corresponding Euro amount applying the fixed conversion rate and in accordance with the applicable rules for recalculation and rounding.
Until December 31, 2022 billing will only be made in Kuna (HRK) and references to Euro will be for information purposes only, whereas as of January 1, 2023, billing shall only take place in Euro.
