Network problems - WiFi / Hotspot (Prolin S900/ D200)
Updated over a week ago

This troubleshooting should only be followed for Prolin Wireless Terminals S900 & D200.

First, ensure that the terminal is not connected via a WiFi network.

Note: You should try to connect to a 2.4 GHz network, as these terminals are not compatible with the 5.0 GHz band.

First, we perform the following steps:

  • Restart the router (unless the business uses a Static IP and/or has a switch connected to devices like cameras, call centers, etc.).

  • Restart the terminal.

  • Check the terminal's software version (updating to a newer version may resolve issues).

We check the WiFi for the following:

  • Ensure the WiFi is password-protected. For security reasons, our terminals can only connect to WiFi networks that are secured with a password.

  • Confirm that other devices can connect to the WiFi.

  • Attempt to connect the terminal to another network.

If the problem persists, follow these steps:

  1. In the settings menu, go to Network Settings -> IP Settings and select DHCP.

  2. If an address in the format "192.168...." appears, press OK, then X to exit. The terminal is now connected.

  3. If the message "No IP" appears, go to Settings -> WiFi and search for available networks.

  4. If networks are found, try to connect to yours. If you see "Connection Failed" contact customer support, mentioning the steps you have already taken.

  5. If your network does not appear in the list, contact your Internet Service provider.
