Creating a Viva Wallet business account is a quick and easy process that doesn’t take long. Just follow the steps below:
- Visit the Viva Wallet home page and click on the Create an Account button:
- Enter your email address and click on the Continue button.
The Who are you? page is displayed. - Enter your first name, last name and date of birth in the appropriate fields.
- The Place of birth field is a dropdown. Click once in the text box and a list will be displayed.
- Choose your country of origin and click on the Continue button.
The How can we reach you page is displayed. - Complete the fields taking note that the Country field is a dropdown.
- Click on the Continue button.
The Set your password page is displayed. - Enter a strong password, select the checkbox provided you agree to the terms and conditions, then click on the Continue button.
A pop-up is displayed requesting the six-digit code that was just sent to your mobile: - Enter the requested code and click on the Continue button.
A pop-up is displayed confirming creation of your account:
A verification message is sent to your registered email address. - Click on the Continue button and select the Yes radio button when prompted about using the account for business purposes:
- Click on the Continue button.
The Create business account page is displayed. - Start typing your company’s country of incorporation then select from the dropdown. If you're a sole trader, freelancer or self-employed, this should be the country you operate from.
The Legal Name field will then be displayed. - Do one of the following:
– If you’re a sole trader, freelancer or self-employed, simply type in your full name. Ignore the message ‘no results found’ if it pops up.
– If your business is a limited company, start typing the company name then choose from the suggestions that pop up. - Click on the Continue button.
Some more fields are displayed. - In the Trading Name field, enter the name of your business as it is known by your customers.
- In the VAT Number field, enter your UK VAT number if applicable (limited companies only).
- If your business is a limited company, the Registration Number field will be auto-completed. Alternatively, if you’re a sole trader, freelancer or self-employed, enter your UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference) number here.
- If your business is a limited company, the Date of Incorporation field will be auto-completed. Alternatively, if you’re a sole trader, freelancer or self-employed, enter the date when you first informed HMRC of your non-PAYE status.
- From the Business Type dropdown, choose Legal Entity if your business is a limited company, otherwise choose Sole proprietorship / Freelancer / Self-employed.
- The Merchant Category field is a dropdown. Select the most appropriate category / sub-category / sub-sub category for the types of products / services you sell.
- Select the checkbox to accept the terms and conditions once you have read and agreed with them.
- Click on the Continue button.
The Transactional information page is displayed. - Choose the most appropriate options from the Source of funds, Monthly value of transactions and Number of transactions per month.
- In the Maximum single transaction field, enter a figure for the forecast highest amount for a single payment in future sales.
- Click on the Continue button.
The Headquarters Address page is displayed. - Complete the fields for your business address and click on the Continue button. If your business is a limited company, part of the address will be pre-filled.
A popup will be displayed telling you that your account is ready. - (Limited companies only) Click on the Continue button.
The Add associated people for [business name] page is displayed. - (Limited companies only) If you have any associates who own more than 25% of the company you will see some suggestions here or you can add them manually. Click on any of the suggestions or click on the ‘add people’ icon. Alternatively, if this doesn’t apply, select the checkbox indicating that this step can be skipped.
- (Limited companies only) Click on the Go to account button.
- You can now log in to your account.
